Join the CODA Chorus!
We’re excited about our 2026-27 season
CODA Chorus rehearsals start September 15th at 6:30 at Winthrop United Methodist Church at 58 Main Street.
CODA chorus, a collective of singers and musicians dedicated to bringing the transformative power of choral music to the capital district, invites singers of all skills and experience to join us for a wonderful holiday concert on Sunday, December 13th at the Cony High School auditorium in collaboration with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra (ASO).
There are no auditions; we welcome any community members, high school age and older. Previous choral experience or music-reading skills are helpful but not required. New members are welcome through the third rehearsal of each season; if you’re just curious, feel free to attend a rehearsal to see what you think!
In recent years our members have come from the greater central Maine area, including Augusta, Farmingdale, Fayette, Gardiner, Hallowell, Leeds, Lewiston, Litchfield, Manchester, Monmouth, Mount Vernon, Palermo, Pittston, Readfield, Sidney, Vienna, Wales, Wayne, and Winthrop.
We present two formal concerts a year, one in the winter and the other in the spring. Rehearsals begin after Labor Day for our winter season and in mid-January for our spring season.
Membership dues are $45.00 for each season. Dues may be waived in the case of financial need through a written request to a Board member. Membership is free for High School students.
